Ms. Yvonne McClendon entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at her residence.
. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11 a.m at Elder Community Center , Sandersville, GA. Burial followed in the Sandersville City cemetery, Sandersville, , GA.
Yvonne McClendon was born on June 22, 1952, to the late D. L. Middlebrooks and the late Lettie Evans. She was the proud and devoted mother of her beloved son, Stankio Vernard McClendon, whom she loved dearly.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: son, Stankio McClendon; beloved grandchildren Stanloveion Hagans, De’ Loveion Hagans, Zya McClendon, and Iyonna McClendon;brothers, Artis Warthen, Randolph (Iris) Middlebrooks, and Alvin Middlebrooks; sisters, Mary Coleman, Eleanor (Roosevelt) Dell, Elizabeth (Michael) Haynes and Shirley Dill; sisters in love, Gwen Lee and Annie J. Robinson.
She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were made richer by her knowing her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to live on through the many hearts she touched in life.
