Mr. Willie F. Swint, Plum St., Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 30,2021 at Augusta University Medical Center, Augusta, GA.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 9,2021 @ 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Sandersville, GA with Rev. Cecil Moore officiated. Burial followed in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
Willie was born March 14, 1932, to the parentage of the late Mr. Harvey Swint and the late Mrs. Charolette B. Hood Swint.
Willie was married to the late Christine Swint for 65 years before she entered eternal rest on January 16, 2021.
He received his formal education from the public schools of Washington County. He joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age and attended faithfully until his health failed.
He spent many years working in the Pulp Wood and Loggin Industry. He also worked in the pine straw fields. Willie enjoyed having his great-grandchildren over and watching them play. He liked watching westerns and especially liked watching Bishop T.D. Jakes on TBN at 7:30 pm.
Along with his parents and wife, Willie was preceded in death by a sister Ellen Inez Burke; three brothers J.B. Swint, Charlie Swint, and Jimmy Swint. Uncles,Alber Hood, Julian Hood, Jimmy Hood, James Hood, and George Bethea. Aunts, Clemmie Walters, Zimmie Dixon, Mamie Anderson, Eula Barney, RosieReeves, and Doretha Scott; his mother-in-law Minnie Wilcher and father-in-law Otis Wilcher.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Dorothy Gilbert , Tennille, Georgia Bobbie Jean ( Walter) Lowe , Hephzibah, Georgia , Delois (Evinson) Renfroe, Sandersville, Georgia, and Charlene Swint, of Tennille, Georgia; son, Emory Fred Swint of Sandersville, Georgia; grandchildren, Walter (Erika) Lowe, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia, Teyonna Gilbert, and Lantavius Swint, both of Tennille, Georgia, LaKeisha Renfroe of Sandersville, Georgia, and LaTasha(Jarvis) Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida; great-grandchildren, Kayla Lowe and Ava Lowe, both of Augusta, Georgia, Bailee Hall of Tennille, Georgia;sister, Minister Mary Alice Foster of Sandersville, Georgia; brother, Rev. Silas (Mildred) Swint of Killeen, Texas; aunt, Effie Dona Minor of Sandersville, Georgia; uncle, Nolan Hood of Lyons, Georgia; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family and friends, including Willie Fred Barnes.
