To my family members and friends, as you read my life story, don’t be sad. Let your heart be comforted by the good times and laughter that we had.  Throughout life, I have weathered many storms while crying out to our God, but the storm is finally over, and I have a place to rest not made by the hands of man. I pray that each of you will remember that I fought so hard to remain with each of you. My early departure was all a part of God’s plan for me, so keep the faith. Don’t be angry with our awesome God because he took me sooner than any of you planned.

Ms. Valeshia Smith , entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Wellstar Augusta University Hospital, Augusta, GA. 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12 p.m. at St. Paul C.M.E. Church , Sparta,  GA with Rev. Gary Clayton officiated. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
