Tommie L. (Buddy Bo) Gilbert

Mr. Tommie L. Gilbert , affectionately known as “Buddy Bo”, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 19,2022 at Washington County Regional Medical Center, Extended Care Facility, Sandersville, GA. 
 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September, 24, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church , Tennille, GA with Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr. Officiated.Burial follow followed in the Henderson Grove A.M.E. Church cemetery.

Born in Sandersville on September 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Henry and Ceola (Cummings) Gilbert. 

He attended the public schools of Washington County and was a faithful and dedicated member of Henderson Grove A.M.E. Church.

Buddy Bo” leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving daughter, Donna Gilbert ; son, Jermel Williams;  sisters, Dorothy Ramsey, Rosa Stanley and Ceola Jackson ; brother, Stevie Gilbert;  his grandchildren, Ja’merria Gilbert, Shikerria Gilbert, Makayla Fields, Jordyn Gilmore, Jasmine Swint and Elijah Williams ; sons in love , Lee Williams and Eddie Miller; his many nieces and nephews including his beloved nephews, Thomas (Janice) Gilbert, Alvin (Peggy)  Gilbert and Tony (Symyra) Gilbert ; his beloved nieces, Lynelle “Jan “ Gilbert and Mary (Antonio) Tyson; a devoted friend, Elizabeth Miles and a host of other cousins , relatives and friends. 
 

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
