Steve Whitaker

Mr. Steve Whitaker, Tennille, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center , Sandersville, GA.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11 a.m.  @ Samuel Grove Baptist Church , Hwy 68, Tennille, GA .Rev. Eric Adams officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory and to celebrate his life ,his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Whitaker; two daughters,  Amanda (Antonio) Lamar of Sandersville, GA  and Stephanie (Jake) Timmons of Efland, NC; One son Steve (Cindy) Whitaker Jr. of Hinesville, GA ; grandchildren,  La’Tuya (Taylor) Brown ,Sysco Whitaker, Malik Whitaker,  Kayla Timmons,  Stephon Whitaker , Te’Amber Lamar, Alajah Timmons , Torryiah Whitaker , Jake Timmons III and Sincere Whitaker ; great grandchildren, Summer Brown , Naomi Whitaker and Adaiah Whitaker ; sister, Debra Sanders of Sandersville, GA ; brother,Dan May of Toledo, Ohio; sisters in law ; Shirely Robinson , Sandra (Phillip) Devero  , Louise Whitaker , Betty Burnett and Novella Whitaker and a host of nieces , nephews , cousins, other relatives and friends.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
