Shirlene (Hooks) Gibbons

 I did not want to leave you all because I loved each of you in my own special way, but when God heard my secret cry, His death angels came to take me back to my Heavenly Father.

After only fifty eight years of life and many trials and tribulations, I welcomed my departure from this land because this world was never meant to be my permanent home. My journey through this life is over, but my true journey has just begun! Don’t cry for me but rejoice instead because I am now free.

Ms. Shirlene Gibbons entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Green Grove Baptist Church, Sandersville, GA. Rev. Frank Smith officiated . 

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
