Ms. Sarah Brookins, Warthen, traded in time for eternity on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Navicent Health, Milledgeville, GA.
Graveside services were held on Friday, March 19,2021 @ 11 a.m. at Mt.Olive Baptist Church, Warthen, GA.Rev. Roy Grissom officiated.
Born and raised in Warthen, GA, she was the daughter of the late Eulus Miller and Francis (Hooks) Miller. She attended the public schools of Washington County.
As a child, she joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and later in life she joined Piney Mount Baptist Church where she was a faithful and dedicated member.
Along with her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her son, Rev. William Brookins, her grandson, Darryl Brookins and sisters, Amanda Jones and Lela Mae Smith.
Her memories will forever be cherished by her sons, Charlie (Hiawatha) Brookins of Augusta, GA, Willie (Melanie) Brookins of Sandersville, GA, Eddie Brookins of Warthen, GA, Terry (Cassandra ) Brookins of Warthen, GA, and Thomas (Teresa) Brookins of Grovetown, GA; daughters, Marilene (Andrew) Jackson of Sandersville, GA and Regina (Tracy) Ross of Macon, GA; twenty precious grandchildren including VonShay Brookins, of which she raised as her own daughter, twenty four great-grandchildren; brother, Clem Miller of Augusta, GA; brother-in-law, Jerry Smith of Warthen, GA and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
