To my family and friends, other than my relationship with God, the love that we shared is the best thing that has ever happened to me in life, but this earthly chapter of my life has ended. Death is evitable and will happen to all mankind. Don't worry about me, I'm home with Jesus for eternity.

Mrs. Ruthie M. Kitchens entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Piedmont Healthcare Augusta Hospital,  Augusta, GA .

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 9,2026 at 1 p.m. at Second Mineral Spring Baptist Church , Mitchell , GA . Burial followed  in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. 
 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her devoted husband, Nahman Baker, Sr.; her beloved children, Kowaski Kitchens, Macheita (Tamayo) Adams, Shirley (Kelvin) Hooks, and Craig Kitchens; her bonus children, Elizabeth Wilson, Nahman (Bernice)Baker Jr., Tonya-Baker Robbins, Diane (Clifford) Williams, and Ashanti Howell; her caring sisters and brothers Magnolia Tucker, Wilma Moss, Mary Haynes, Elizabeth (Timothy) Britt, Jerry (Jeannette)Kitchens, John (Gwendolyn) Kitchens, Rosemary (Alfred) Miles, Jennifer Kitchens; God brother, Kenneth Cummings; loving aunts and uncles, Brenda Williams, Alfred Lee Dixon, Janice Harris; nine grandchildren, Kowaski Kitchens, Jamarcus Adams, Brandon Kitchens, Destiny Kitchens, Iyanla Kitchens, Paris Adams, Emmanuel Adams, Cayden Kitchens, Kenadi Hooks,; a host of bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly,; a devoted neighbor Jeannette Andrews and devoted friend Renette Worthen.

Wheeler's Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
