Rosby Gordon

Life has many struggles, and with the help of God, we are equipped to overcome the obstacles in our lives. Death has invaded the Gordon family again. Today is a challenging time in our lives, but we keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me. To those I am leaving behind, remember the good and troubled times, the laughter, the journey I’ve walked over the years, and the exceptional life I lived until the very end. I know that my sudden departure has created a gloomy situation in each of your lives but keep smiling and surely the sun will eventually shine through because death is evitable. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Continue helping humanity, like I have always done. I will miss you all dearly, so keep soaring until the day comes when we’re together again.” 

Mr. Rosby Gordon , Sandersville , entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA. 

Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 13,2025 at 11 a.m. at Robin Spring Baptist Church.  Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr. officiated.  Burial followed in the GA war veterans cemetery, Milledgeville, GA. 

Rosby is survived by his Pride - daughter Shonee Scott (Bishopville, South Carolina) and his Joy “Stank 2” - Shabreka Gordon (Sandersville, Georgia); his grandchildren, Dohveion Richardson whom he called “Alphabet” and Jordan Scott (both of Bishopville, South Carolina). Sisters - Betty Jean Bell (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and Joyce Farlar (Macon, Georgia), brothers - Alonzo “Bo” (Audrey) Cullens (Atlanta, Georgia) and Christopher Gordon (). A special friend Carrie Nelson. A host of nieces and nephews whom he was a father-figure to including Leroy Bell, Larry Bell, Teresa Bell, D’Jaton Bell, and George Dillard.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
