Mr. Otis Taylor , affectionately known as “Pop” entered into eternal rest on Friday , January 31, 2025 at Dublinair Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dublin, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church , Sandersville, GA. Rev. Cecil More officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Otis Taylor was born on April 1, 1929, to the late Elijah Taylor and LaVada Smith Taylor. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Barbara Jean Simmons, Elizabeth Taylor, Annie Taylor, and Naomi Hilton; brothers, James Taylor, Russell Taylor, Amos Taylor, and E.T. Taylor; sister, Dora Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of Thirty-six years Gennie Mae Taylor; sons, Jimmy (Doris) Taylor, James Taylor, Gary(Bernestine) Taylor, all of Dublin, GA, and Herbert Taylor, Grovetown, GA; daughter, Jackie Fields, Dublin, GA; sister, Eunice Mae Taylor, Wrightsville, GA; bonus sons; Bobby Freeman, Augusta, GA, Willie(Paula) Freeman, Savannah, GA, and Kerry (Ivonda) Freeman, Atlanta, GA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
