Mr. Nolden Hood, formerly of Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, FL.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Bold Spring Baptist Church.Rev. Roy Grissom officiated.
Mr. Nolden Zelen Hood was born April 17, 1938, in Sandersville, GA to the late Mr. James Hood, Sr., and the late Mrs. Bobbie Lee (Harris )Hood. He was one of fourteen children.
Nolden relocated to Hollywood, FL in the 1970s and lived with his older sister, the late Mrs. Clemmie Mae Hood Walters. He worked at Budweiser Beer Factory for a short period of time before gaining a job at the City of Hallandale as a sanitation worker. He was able to earn his GED and stayed with the city for 33 years before retiring in 2008.
Left to cherish his memories are his six children, Lee Nolden Hood, Effie D. Hood, James (Mable) Hood, Latwaunda Neisha (Jason) Neal, Bryant Hood and Daniella Hood; five granddaughters, Jenesis Neal, Jahzaria Neal, Jashayla Neal, Lang Walden, and Raven Walden; two great-grandchildren; sister, Effie Donnie Minor; sister-in-law, Imogene (Stanley) Love; two brother-in-laws, Eddie (Kathy)Williams and Jeffrey (Angela) Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
