Wherever we go, from our birth throughout our life and into the passage of death, the Lord is always and ever with us. When the time comes to bid this life farewell, we should find comfort in knowing that a loving God will be there with us to guide us to our new home. Mother Annie Ruth Durham fully entered the presence of the Lord on December 20, 2023 surrounded by the warmth of her loving family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother , sister, aunt and devoted woman of God.
Funeral services were held on Thursday. December 28,2023 @ 11 a.m. Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr., officiated. . Burial followed in the Carver Memorial Cemetery.
Annie Ruth left a legacy of love, strong faith, and family to cherish her beautiful and unforgettable memories: her grandson, Jermaine L. Northcutt; great grandchildren: Jada, Azariah, and Jamani; sister-in-law: Ada Smith; brother-in-law: Robert (Lilian) Durham; nieces: Emman Jean Evans, Annie Couch, Audrey Carroll, Rhonda (Anthony) Satterfield, Gail Gray (Reginald) Smith, Janet Williams, Jennifer (Ellis) Smith; nephews: Frederick Couch, Darrel Couch, Maurio (Trina) Gray, Roderick (Donna) Smith, Reverend D. Roger (Donita) Smith and a host of loving great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
