Ms. Minnie L. Jiles , Sandersville, returned back to the open arms of her creator on Tuesday, September 29,2020 at the Heritage Inn Nursing Home, Sandersville, GA.
Graveside services were held on Saturday , October 10, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Middle Hill Baptist Church Cemetery , Warthen, GA.Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr., officiated.
Born in Sandersville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe B Jiles Sr., and Wallene (Gilbert) Jiles. She was raised in Washington County and lived in New York and Chicago majority of her adult life where she retired from OSF Little Company of Mary Medical Center, Chicago, IL.
Upon returning back to Washington County, Pete joined the Middle Hill Baptist Church, Warthen GA. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Willine Jiles and Linda (Willie) Smith, brother, Joe B Jiles Jr., sisters, Eva Mae Daniel and Dora (Eddie) Glover.
She was the devoted mother of Larry Jiles, John Willie(Carolyn) Tallington, Lemont (Marylyn) Tallington and Henrietta Jiles; the cherished grandmother of 20; the charming great grandmother of 47; the loving sister of Evalene Jiles, Hattie M. Wheeler, Mozell (Freddie) Eddie Lee (Thelma) Jiles. She also leaves several nieces, nephews ,cousins. and other friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
