Ms. Mildred Dixon, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 @ 11 A.M. at the Sandersville City Cemetery, Hall St., Sandersville, GA.Rev. Tracy Wheeler, Sr., officiated.
Mildred Dixon was born on May 18, 1937 in Washington County to the late Mrs. Laura Mae Dixon Adams.
Along with her mother, Mildred was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alonza Dixon and Mattie Laura Dixon, great-grandmother Martha Ann Mason, and two uncles, Amos and Lonnie Dixon.
Throughout her life she was passionate about church and deeply appreciated the community of Sandersville, particularly her friends and neighbors who were always quick with support of her as she babysat the community's children.
She was a dedicated member of the Green Grove Baptist Church , where she served faithfully on the usher board until her health declined.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memories cousins Rena Mae and Jerry Carter, Bishop Thomson and Ellazean Johnson and Gregory Johnson all of Detroit, MI; Lonnie and Janie James of Tampa, FL; Helen White of Milledgeville, GA; devoted cousin Johnnie L. Hunter, and a host of cousins and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
