Mr. McKendree Ardell Warthen, better known as “Ken,” returned back to the open arms of his Creator on Monday, February 24, 2020 in Bainbridge, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 @ 1 p.m. at New Birth Christian Ministries, 409 Zeta Street, Tennille, GA.Rev. Henry L.Tanner, officiated. Burial followed in the Rest Haven cemetery.
Ken was the son of the late Josephus Warthen Sr., and Alma Jean (Tanner) Warthen of Sandersville.
Ken worked as an operator for 8 years with Tex Par Energy, Bainbridge, GA.
He is survived by his wife, NeKisha Warthen, of Bainbridge, GA; mother Alma Jean Warthen, of Sandersville, GA; children, McKendree Tyheem Warthen and Nariah Kenshayla Warthen, both of Macon, GA; stepchildren, Brittany Green and Brian Green Jr., of Bainbridge, GA; sisters, Karen Warthen of Sandersville, GA, Jenniquetta Warthen of Milledgeville, GA, Fonda (Keith) Foster of Sandersville, GA, and Felicia Warthen of Sandersville, GA; brother, Josephus Warthen, Jr. of Sandersville, GA; maternal grandmother Idonia J. Tanner of Sandersville, GA; father & mother-in-law Michael and Althea Johnson of Bainbridge GA; aunts, Sandra(James) Tanner, Brenda (Darrell) Hagans, both of Tennille, GA, and Burena Robinson of Sandersville, GA; uncles, Ernest (Latasha) Tanner, Robert (Debra) Tanner, both of Tennille, GA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including devoted friends, Daryl Dempsey, James Duncan, both of Bainbridge, GA and John Brown of Atlanta, GA.
