Mary Haynes

Mrs. Mary Haynes , affectionately know as “Ms. Fite ” , Sandersville, entered into eternal rest of 102 years , at her residence . 
 

Funeral  services were held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 3 p.m.  at Minton Spring A.M.E. Church , Warthen , GA with Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr. , officiated. 

Ms. Mary Ettus Haynes, affectionately know as “Fite”, was born on December 25, 1919, the eighth of thirteen children to the parentage of Ed Johnson and Lonnie Jefferson Johnson. God blessed her to live 102 glorious, prosperous years by being a positive influence in so many people’s lives.

Ms. Haynes was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Mr. Oscar Haynes, Jr., two sons, Julian Johnson and Joe Louis Haynes, two grandsons, Craig Johnson and Tyrone Johnson, sisters, Eddie Miller, Mamie Lou Taylor, Susie Bell Latimore, Elnora Blackshear, Lillie Bell Harris, Dora Mae Latimore, Minnie Lou Johnson, Laura Johnson, Annie Mae Johnson, Clendora Johnson, Alberta Johnson, and Penny Johnson, brothers, Gordon Turner, Alfred Turner, William Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Robert Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Riley Johnson, and Walter Johnson.

Ms. Haynes is survived by two grandchildren, Curtis Duggans and Danielle Haynes of Sandersville, GA; daughter-in-law, Gloria Haynes of Riverdale, GA; three step-grandchildren, Tony Johns of Fulton, CA, Rodney Johns of Union City, GA, and Rhonda Johns of Phoenix, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Armstead, Chase Tyson, and Chance Tyson, all of Jonesboro, GA; six step-great-grandchildren, Tony Johns, Jr. and Alani Johns of Yorba Linda, CA, Donnell Johns and Krinelle Johns of Union City, GA, Ashley Gentry and Aubrey Gentry of Alisoviejo, CA; two great-great-grandchildren, Kelvin Lamar Collins, Jr. and Kayden Louis Collins of Jonesboro, GA; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was  in charge of arrangements.
