Mary L. Atkins , entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the University Hospital, Augusta, GA . 
 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 @ 2p.m. at Georgia Grove Baptist Church, Old Savannah Rd. , Tennille, GA with Rev. Roy Grissom officiating.

Mary Louise Atkins, affectionately known as Medgie, Weezy, and Aunty was born on June 10, 1953 to the late Herman and Autry Atkins in Brooklyn, New York.                                                                                      

She leaves to mourn her daughter, Tracey Atkins of Tennille, GA; son, Lawrence (Faith) Atkins of Pensacola, FL; brother, Herman Atkins (Jackie) of Memphis, TN; three sisters and five brothers; grandchildren Janasia, Jontavius, Candice, Shamel, Khadijah, Melquan, Nature, Myah, Lauryn, Londyn, Thaddeus, Earnisha, Jordyn, Dorothy Dixon. Great-grand, Erin, Jurni, J’nylah, Azariah, Kataleya,Shamel, Jr., and Kimora; Godchild Donna Browne, adopted niece, Dee Abernathy; she has a host of nieces and nephews who were all her favorite in their own special ways.

Mary will be remembered by all who loved her for her endless warmth and generosity.
