Martio Turan "Tio" Golar

Martio Turan Golar, affectionately known as Tio, departed his life on January 3, 2020 at Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, GA.  

Funeral services for  Mr. Golar were held on Saturday , January 11 , 2020 at 1 p.m.  from Kingdom Advancement Ministries , 806 Jordan Mill Road in Sandersville with Bishop K. E. Phillips officiating.Burial followed in the Woodlawn  Cemetery. 

Public viewing was held on Friday , Jan. 10 from 10 a.m. to 7p.m at Wheeler’s Funeral Home. 

He was born on January 8, 1984 to the parentage of Ouida Golar and Willie James McBride, Jr.

Martio’s life and legacy will be cherished forever by his fiance’ Shakendlyn, “Khandi”, Cuyler; his parents Ouida Golar (Lee Davis) and Willie James (Ray Jean) McBride, Jr., all of Tennille, GA; two children, Sameria Golar and Marsha Curry, both of Sandersville, GA; two sisters, Tymira McBride of Tennille, GA and LaShondria Davis of Milledgeville, GA; two brothers, Broderick (Natlie) Golar of Sandersville, GA and Ammiel (Tanika) McBride of Tennille, GA; grandmother, Mary Francis McBride of Tennille, GA; twelve aunts, Pamela (Hubert) Taylor of Kentucky, Denise Cordy, Sharon (Gregory) Lawson, Dorothy Hagans, all of Atlanta; Deborah Cordy, Carolyn Jones, Dale Golar, Aimeltha Locke, Louise Whitaker, all of Sandersville, GA; Beverly Wright and Connie (Grady) Minor, both of Augusta, GA; Dianne Davis of Milledgeville, GA; four uncles, Timothy Golar of Augusta, GA; Jonathan Golar of Aiken, SC; Willie Golar of Cleveland, OH; Curtis Golar of Warthen, OH; two great-aunts Lillie Maude Snell and Helen Peeler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
