Marinda was born on June 7,1960 to the parentage of the late Mr. John Henry and Mrs. Stella Minor Wiley. She graduated with the Washington County High School Class of 1978. In her early years, she was employed by the Washington County School System as a bus driver in; Hamburg State Park as a groundskeeper; and she retired from the GA Army National Guard and GA Dept. of Corrections.
Marinda’s infectious smile and laughter was one of a kind! She loved, loved, loved her family—a mother to all of her nieces and nephews. As a sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, she was caring, sharing and always willing to do whatever she could whenever she could, with a smile on her face. She loved to travel, and she had a passion for gardening, fishing, shopping and cooking. She was an amazing cook and was generous about sharing her food and recipes! Her famous Brunswick Stew and her pretzel salad were just two of her family’s favorites! But the most thing she loved was telling others about God’s Kingdom. She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witnesses for eighteen years, and she served seventeen and a half years as a regular pioneer (engaging in the ministry for a specific number of hours each month).
