Mrs. Maggie Jackson, Sandersville, gained her heavenly wings and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 @ 11:30 A.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Sandersville, GA. Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr., officiated.
Born on August 11, 1945, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Lucius Jackson and the late Essie L. Culbreth Jackson.
“Mag”, as she was affectionately known, worked at The William Carter Manufacturing Co. for 15 years, and in 1998 she furthered her professional career as a certified nurse assistant for Heritage Inn Nursing Home until her retirement in 2010.
Along with her parents, Mag was preceded in death by her husband, Elmous Jackson Sr., her son, Elmous Jackson Jr., her brothers, Louis Jackson Sr. and Larry Jackson ,her sisters, Annette Jackson and Darlene Jackson, her grandson, Kristophius A. Jackson, her great-grandson, Alex Pierce and her aunt, Evelyn B. Jackson.
Maggie’s memories will be forever cherished by her daughters, Diana (Emmanuel) Jackson of Tennille, Lucinda (Linton) Jackson of Hinesville, Melissa Jackson of Hinesville and Elissa Jackson of Sandersville; stepson, Tyrone Ivey of Oconee, sisters, Evelyn Overstreet of Savannah and Mary N. May of Tennille; brothers, Melvin Jackson of Tocoma, WA and Michael (Pamela) Jackson of Warthen, GA; five devoted grandchildren, Rodriquez (Sabrina) Pierce of Temecula, CA, Ricardo (Danielle) Brown of Tennille, Shantez D. Turner of Allentown, PA, Sharrod (Jessica) Turner of San Antonio, TX and Rodney Myers of Hinesville, GA; three devoted granddaughters, Kenyona (Antonio) Johnson of Hinesville, Tomeka Evans of Hinesville, and Tyneishia Gibbons of Sandersville; thirteen great-grandchildren, Tiffany (Paul) Neal, of Temecula, CA, Joshua, Elijah and Kristian Pierce of Temecula, CA, Aiden and Aaliyah Bell of Hinesville, KeKoa, Shyla and Ciniya Turner of San Antonio, TX, Ni’Riyah Henderson of Savannah, Kendarious Harris, Ava Jones of Hinesville, GA and Mya Sampson of Dublin; three great great-grandchildren, Chase, Aubree and Jaelynn Sampson of Dublin; devoted niece, Anquenetta M. Sanford of Sandersville; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Jackson of Covington and Barbara Jackson of Sandersville; devoted friends, Helen Barlow and Rose Walker , both of Sandersville; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
