Mrs. Mae McBride, Tennille, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1 p.m. at New Tennille A.M.E. Church, Jordan Station Campus ,Tennille, GA with Rev. Tracy Wheeler officiating.
She was born December 27, 1932 to the parentage of the late Cohen and Fannie Prosser.
Mrs. McBride joined Jordan Station A.M.E. Church at an early age. After retiring from Washington County Board of Education, she enjoyed fishing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James McBride, Sr. and her daughter, Luewyndarlon Farmer.
Mrs. McBride leaves to cherish her memories her children, Ms. Diane Davis, Mrs. Sherron (Gregory) Lawson, Mr. Willie James (Ray Jean) McBride, Jr., Ms. Carolyn Jones and Ms. Pamela Taylor; sister, Ms. Lillie Maude Snell; sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Helen Peeler; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
