Mr. Lynn A. Davis, returned back to the open arms of his creator on Wednesday, December 9,2020 at the University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 @ 1p.m. at the Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church , 20 Watermelon Rd., Tennille, GA, with Rev. Eric Adams officiating.
Lynn was born on September 24, 1965 nine minutes apart from his twin brother, Lee, to the late Lee Arthur, Sr. and the late Ethel Walker Davis.
Lynn was a diehard Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons fan along with his buddy Greg. He also loved coming back home for good country cooking prepared by his brother, Michael, and sister, Janice. On his days off, he traveled to be with his brother, Chad. Lynn loved talking to his co-workers about F-150 trucks.
Lynn attended Washington County Public Schools and graduated from Washington County High in 1983. He attended Paine College in Augusta, GA and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Mathematics in 1987. Lynn was a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He pledged in Spring 1985 during his studies at Paine College. He also served in the Sandersville National Guard, Engineer Combat Battalion Heavy Detachment 1 Company A 878th Division with the rank of E5. Upon his death, Lynn was employed with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions as a Radiological Protection Inspector with 28 years of service.
Lynn accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church in Wrightsville, GA.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Willie and Maggie Walker Davis and Rosa Davis, his aunt and uncle, Eddie and Mary Walker Page.
Lynn’s life and legacy will be cherished by his three daughters, Shaunika Williams of Augusta, GA, Shakimma Davis of Valdosta, GA, and Janthel Davis of Columbus, OH; son, KaDarius Hightower of Augusta, GA; devoted fiance’, SherineHightower of Augusta, GA; two special granddaughters, Aniyah Gissentanner and Akaylah “Maggie” Williams, both of Augusta, GA; two devoted sisters, Janice “Sis” Merrell of Tennille, GA and Sandra Page (Eric) Adams of Augusta, GA; six brothers, his twin, Lee Arthur (Ouida) Davis, Jr. of Tennille, GA, Michael Fields of Tennille, GA, Chad Davis of Macon, GA, Darryl Brown of Rock Hill, SC, Gregory (Angela) Page of Augusta, GA, and Calvin Page of Augusta, GA; sister-in-law Shirley Ann Johnson-Fields of Sandersville, GA; devoted fraternity brother and friend for over 30 years, Gregory Brown of ColumbiaCounty, GA; two buddies, Jessie Trowell and Danny (Disco) Cooper, both of Augusta, GA; a devoted friend, Ms. Cynthia Morse and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
