Mr. Joshua Knight entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Pruitt Health Hospice , Swainsboro, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 12,2026 @3 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, Wrightsville, GA. Burial followed in the Scotts Chapel Baptist Church cemetery.
Joshua was born on October 4, 1954, in Wrightsville, Georgia, to Mrs. Martha Thomas Knight and the late Mr. Ralph Knight.
Joshua was a proud graduate of Johnson County High School in Wrightsville, Georgia, Class of 1975. He was known as a hardworking man throughout his life. He was employed by Uniroyal Allgood Services and later worked at Parker Fish Company, where he remained employed until his retirement.
Joshua was loved by everyone because he never met a stranger. He had a big heart, which allowed him to help anyone in need. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed him. Joshua had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. If he ever needed anyone, there was always someone willing to be there to help him. The love and kindness he shared with others were returned to him in countless ways, proving just how much he was loved by those whose lives he touched.
One of Joshua's favorite pastimes was spending time at the BP gas station in Wrightsville, Georgia, where everyone who entered treated him like family. He also enjoyed watching movies and his favorite television shows on the BET network, especially The Family Business.
Joshua loved to laugh and had a special way of making others laugh as well. He had a warm and memorable personality, and if'someone close to him did not have a nickname, he would make sure to give them one.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanie Mae Knight and Michelle Knight; his brothers, J M Knight, Bobby Lee Knight, Earnest Lee Knight, and Curtis Knight.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving mother, Martha Knight, Wrightsville, GA; daughter, Tomekia (Michael) Taylor, Wrightsville, GA; son, Joshua Octavious Knight, Wrightsville, GA; bonus daughters, Mahsyka Hagans, Sequoyah Coleman, Aishirah Knight Russell; bonus son, Kobie Hall; sisters, Mae Knight Vanley, Phoenix, AZ, Martha (Jimmie) Winston, Bowie, MD, Loretta (Willie) Wright, East Dublin, GA, and Rosetta Knight, Wrightsville, GA; brothers, Ralph Knight Jr, and Everett Knight, both of Wrightsville, GA, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend.
Though Joshua may no longer walk beside us, his love, laughter, and beautiful memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
