Josephus (Jr.) Warthen Jr.

Mr. Josephus Warthen Jr. , entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center , Augusta, GA. 

Graveside services were held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 @ 2 p.m. at RestHaven Memorial Cemetery , Sandersville, GA with Rev. Henry L. Tanner ,officiated.

He was born August 10, 1983 to the parentage of the late Josephus Warthen, Sr., and Alma Jean Tanner Warthen of Sandersville, Georgia. 

Josephus graduated from Washington County High School, Class of 2001. He was a wonderful and loving son, father, and brother.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers; McKendree A Warthen and Justin G. Warthen; aunts, Pecola Duhart and Betty Rowling, parental grandparents; Robert and Oudea Warthen and maternal grandfather;  Superintendant E.D. Tanner.

Josephus leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Alma Jean Warthen,

of Sandersville, Georgia; children,Keambrea Harmon, Quintraveaus Harmon, of Sandersville, Georgia. Jamaya Warthen, Jazzlyn Lawson, Atlanta, Georgia, and Brenoyna Warthen, Louisville, Georgia; sisters, Karen Warthen, Allentown, Pennsylvania, Jenniquetta Warthen, Milledgeville, Georgia, Felicia Warthen, Sandersville, Georgia, Fonda (Keith) Foster, Sandersville, Georgia; maternal grandmother, Idonia J. Tanner, Sandersville, Georgia; aunts ,Sandra (James) Tanner, Brenda (Darrell) Hogans, Tennille, Georgia, and Burena Robinson, Sandersville, Georgia; uncles, Earnest (Latosha)Tanner, Conyers, Georgia, Robert (Debra) Tanner, Tennille, Georgia; and  a host of other nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, including devoted friend Tyrell Moore, Sandersville, Georgia.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
