Ms. Jimekeyana Cummings , Sandersville passed away on Nov. 23, 2020 in Augusta, GA.
Graveside services were held on Saturday Dec. 5, 2020 @ 1 p.m. at Brownwood Cemetery, Sandersville, GA .Rev. Calvin Hatcher, officiated.
Jimekeyana was born February 17, 2001 to the parentage of Jimell Chandler and Crystal Cummings.
She attended Washington County Public Schools, a recent 2019 graduate. During the wonderful years of high school, Jimekeyana embraced her time with Mercer University Upward Bound Program in Macon, GA. This season of life, she warmed many hearts of her peers with the ability to express her thoughts through the secret gift of singing. Her warm personality showed up as a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club where she dedicated her love and support to other youths. After graduating, Jimekeyana moved to Augusta to pursue a career in Nursing at East Georgia College on the Augusta University Campus while working as a Customer Service Supervisor.
Jimekeyana’s spiritual life was embraced at an early age as she was baptized as Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. She expressed her talents as an active member of the Praise Dance Ministry, Youth Choir, and also attending Sunday School and Bible Study. Her presence will be missed by many, from the smiles to the warm hugs.
She leaves to cherish her love and memories, her parents, Crystal (Byron) Rolle, Sr. of Sandersville, GA; father, Jimell Chandler of Tennille, GA; grandparents, Arthur (Virginia) Cummings of Soperton, GA, Gloria (Edison) Richardson of Sandersville, GA, and Jimmy and Patricia Chandler of Tennille, GA; six sisters, Markesha Cummings, Khisterria Cummings, both of Augusta, GA, Shankeanna Cummings of Macon, GA, Ahzaiah Rolle of Sandersville, GA, Chelsea McClain and Moriah Prosser, both of Tennille, GA; three brothers, Jamariyah Chandler, Jason Robinson, and Tiendon May, all of Tennille, GA; two aunts, Toshia Cummings Swint of Macon, GA, and Jamilia (Joseph) Brown of Tennille, GA; three uncles, Arthur Cummings, Jr. of Macon, GA, Demeckers (Felecia) Tallington of Roselle Park, New Jersey, and Keith (Tameka) Wallace of Wrens, Georgia; two nieces, Kaylee Cummings and Khole Cummings, both of Augusta, GA; a host of beloved relatives and friends.
