Jeffrey Wayne Tanner

Mr. Jeffrey Tanner, Atlanta, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 11,2022 at Dekalb Medical Center , Atlanta , GA. 
 

Graveside services were held on Thursday, July 14,2022 at 1 p.m. at Sandersville City Cemetery, Hall St., Sandersville, with Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr. officiated. 
 

Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Tanner was born on April 12, 1962, to the late Osie Lee Tanner and the late Lela Mae Griner Tanner.

He attended John F. Kennedy High School in Patterson, New Jersey. 

The Lord dispatched his angels to receive Jeff on July 11, 2022. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shakima Byrd. 

Jeff leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Cheryl Tucker Tanner; three children, Laurie (Marek) Stith, RahemieByrd, Casheema (Mia) Byrd, and Hasan Waiters; two stepchildren, Athalyah Israel Merriman and Leah Israel; two brothers, Floyd Lee (Barbara) Tanner and Troy AlphesusTanner; three sisters, Dorothy Thompson, Bobbie Tanner, and Jacqueline Gainey; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, devoted cousin, Reverend Henry Louis Tanner, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. 

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
