Janie Warren, West Floyd Street, Sandersville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her residence.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 1p.m. at Middle Hill Baptist Church, Warthen , GA with Rev. Forrest Lester officiating.
An angel, Janie P. Warren, known as JP, was born to Fred and Bertha Williams on May 29, 1924 and departed this life on September 2, 2020.
She was united in Holy matrimony to Lewis Jackson and to this union a son was born, Calvin Jackson. Later in life, she would meet and marry Lindsey Warren.
Janie joined Siloam Baptist Church at an early age and then joined Middle Hill Baptist Church in Sandersville, GA where she served faithfully until her health started failing. Janie taught school for thirty years and became a substitute teacher for fiveyears at the elementary school in Sandersville, GA, where she retired with the school system.
She loved talking with everyone and she love to sing. She sung in the choir at Middle Hill Baptist Church and she played the piano for many churches. She will be missed by the many lives she touched.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Warren, as well as three siblings, Minnie Lee Reid, Hunter H. Williams, and Eugene Williams.
Janie leaves to cherish her memories her son, Calvin Jackson; sister, Bernice (Willie) Lewis; grandson, Johnathan Jackson; two great-grandsons; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wheeler's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
