To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. On September 13, 2023, the angel of eternal rest quietly came and sealed the lips of our beloved Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mrs. Jacqueline Brookins.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 30,2023 at 1 p.m. at Minton Spring A.M.E. Church . with Rev.Tracy Wheeler Sr. served as eulogist. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memories children: Marilyn (Donald) Clark, Tony (Minnie) Cummings, Dwayne (Tonya) Brookins, Tammy (Rhodena) Brookins, Patty Brookins, and Nathaniel (Kiyata) Brookins III; sister: Naomi Asberry; brother: Walter Cummings; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers -in-law: Abdul-Kareem Shakir, James, Muhammad Beyah, Fred Brookins, Marion Brookins, and Robert Asberry; sisters-in-law: Genetta Williams, Miniimah Shakir, Helen Brookins, Annie Brookins, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
