Mr. Glen Kitchens , Mitchell,GA, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his residence .
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 17, 2021 @ 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Warthen, GA. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Glen Kitchens was born on May 25, 1959 in Washington County, GA to the parentage of Mrs. Dannie Mae Kitchens and the late Alton Lamar Kitchens, Sr.
He joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He worked as a Master brick mason for many years. He diligently utilized his talents to construct many buildings and homes within and outside the community. He was known to many because of his talents and humble character.
Glen was a loving family man who was willing to share what he had with anyone that truly knew him.
Preceding him in death is one daughter, Lakesha W. Kitchens, one sister Rosettea Kitchens, and two brothers, Alton Kitchens, Jr., and Willie B. Kitchens.
Glen leaves to cherish his precious memories: his ex-wife and longtime friend, Sandra T. Kitchens with whom he created four children, Rondie (Terrence) Cheatham of Lexington, SC., Christopher (Jemessyn) Kitchens of Austell, GA., Colleen (Franklin) Baker of Sparta, GA; eight grandchildren: Aliyah Lazenby, Temiah Baker, Jalen Baker, Jamari Warthen, Jali Mosley, Nylah Kitchens, Ansley Cheatham, and Ivy Baker; his loving mother, Mrs. Dannie Mae Kitchens of Mitchell, GA; six sisters: Magnolia Tucker, Wilma Moss, Mary (Dennis) Haines, Ruthie (Nahman) Baker, Elizabeth (Timothy) Britt, Rosemary (Alfred) Miles, and Jennifer Kitchens; three brothers: Johnny (Gladys) Kitchens, Deacon Jerry (Jeanette) Kitchens, and Reverend John (Gwendolyn) Kitchens; two sister-in-laws: Mrs. Eloise Kitchens and Barbara Kitchens; Godbrother Kenneth Cummings; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
