Ms. Geemesha Hunter, 15, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 7, 2023 .
Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 14,2023 at RestHaven Memorial Garden @ 2 p.m. with immediate family in attendance respectfully.
Ms Geemesha DahShae Hunter, affectionately known aa “MeMe “ was born on April 24, 2008 to the parentage of George Lee Hunter, Jr. and Tawana Wilson. Although MeMe’s life was cut short by a tragic accident, her radiant smile and the enormous joy she brought to her family and friends will live on forever.
Like most teenagers, MeMe loved TikTok, YouTube and staying on her phone constantly. She was an avid artist who drew pictures of fashion and hairstyles.
While Geemesha was only at TJ Elder Middle for 2 1/2 years, she made a huge impact on her teachers, administrators and friends. She made the Honor Roll numerous times, participated in the Art Club and was chosen to receive the REACH Georgia Scholarship.
Geemesha leaves to cherish her memories her father, George Lee Hunter, Jr; her grandmothers, Annie Dixon Hunter and Rose Degraffereidt; her mother, Tawana Wilson; aunts and uncles, Pamela H. (Randy) Young, Kim H. Rapp, Octavia “Tae” (Julio) Arriaza, Tyrone (Charlotte) Weary, Rose and Morris Artis, Karen Weary, Lydia, Lazer Wilson, Maurice Harrison, Bobby and Lizzie Wilson; two brothers, Dominique Hunter and John Jefferson; two sisters, Sharaya Scott and Jasmine Jefferson; two special nephews, Kamari Hunter and Khayir Grimes and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
