Elder Noah Riggins, Sr. was born May 22, 1933 in Dry Branch, GA to the parentage of the late Irvin and Elnora Brown Riggins.
Elder Riggins attended the Public Schools of Twiggs County, GA and continued his education at Dudley Hughes Vocational School in Macon, Georgia. Elder Riggins was a very hardworking man who held several part time positions over his life time while he was employed full time by the United States Air Force at Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic where he retired after 31 years of dutiful service.
In 1970, Elder Riggins accepted his call to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. He began preaching at Reid’s Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the Late Superintendent L. R. Hood where he served as Deacon, Choir member, Sunday School teacher and Assistant Pastor. He was ordained into the Eldership in April 1996 under the leadership of the Late Bishop C. J. Hicks.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife of 41 years, Evangelist Mattie B. Riggins;
Children: Ms. Gloria Lampkin, Atlanta, GA; Russell (Edith) Riggins, Alpharetta, GA; Noah (Janice) Riggins Jr., Conyers, GA; Garland (Mona Lisa) Stephens, Macon, GA; Tammie (Alfred) Printup, Sr., Fairburn, GA; Ms. Hope Cooper, Macon, GA. 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren;, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
