Mr. Eddie Thomas, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center , Sandersville, GA.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 @ 11 a.m. at the Mt.Zion Baptist Church, 142 Mt. Zion Rd., Warthen, GA. Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr., officiated.
Eddie Thomas was born on May 13, 1960, in Sandersville, GA, to the late J.W. Thomas and the late Annie Mae Bentley Thomas.
Eddie joined Middle Hill Baptist Church at a young age. He graduated from Washington County High School in 1979. He enjoyed fishing, surveying land, and working on vehicles.
Along with his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother, Tommie Bentley.
Eddie is survived by his daughters, Kizzy (Stacey) Scott of Harrison, GA, Tiffany Harris (Eulas Taylor) of Tennille, GA, Latersa Harris of Warthen, GA, and Tangia Harris (ChrisFleming) of Sandersville, GA; sons, Eddie (Marietta) Thomas of Sandersville, GA and Kentavious Harris of Warthen, GA; granddaughter, A’sia Washington of Augusta, GA; grandsons, Jamarrion Harris of Warthen, GA, Kailand Tukes of Sandersville, GA, and Eulas Taylor IV of Tennille, GA; brother, James (Jackie) Thomas of Saginaw, MI; sisters, Lizzie (Ray) Harden of Tennille, GA, Mary (Ernest) Sampson of Dublin, GA, Brenda Mooreman of York, PA, Lois (Beaver) Thomas of Gibson, GA, and Gracie Jordan of Sandersville, GA; aunts, Geneva (Julian) Jones of Chicago, IL, Bernice Walker of Saginaw, MI, Helen Ashley of Macon, GA, Millerene Thomas of Sandersville, GA, Annie Julius Johnson of Sandersville, GA,Vassie Hatcher of Sandersville, GA, Elizabeth (Bill) Sanders of Sandersville, GA, and JoAnn Thomas of Warthen, GA; devoted brother/nephew, Antonio Thomas; devoted friends, Veronica Demons and Reggie Mack; and a host of nieces and nephews.
