Mr. Dexter Martin, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Washington County Regional Medical Center, Sandersville, GA .

Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 30, 2021  @ 12 p.m. at Word of Life Church , S. Harris St., Sandersville, GA with Dr. Michael S. Parker officiating. Burial followed in Washington Memorial Gardens , Hwy 24, Sandersville, GA. 

. He was born December 6, 1972,to the late Mr. Willie Martin and the late Ms. Dorothy Jackson. 

Dexter graduated from Washington County High School, class of 1991. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, perfecting his rap, and making others laugh. Dexter was the highlight of all his kids, nieces, and nephews’ lives each time he was in their presence. He had a remarkable way of creating a fun-filled bond with each of them.

Dexter leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, La’Tonya Martin of Sandersville, GA; children, Dewaski Martin of Atlanta, GA, Kamiyah Martin of Waynesburg, OH, Si’MoneJohnson and Christopher Dallas, Jr., both of Sandersville, GA; sisters, Pamela (Melvin) Johnson of Sandersville, GA, Tabitha (Michael) Parker of Sandersville, GA, Monica Haynes of Atlanta, GA, Sherrie Warthen of Milledgeville, GA, and Victoria Taylor of Harrison, GA; devoted niece, Seanquetta (Sidney) Swan of Tennille, GA; devoted nephew, Melvin (Angel) Johnson of Tennille, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Wheeler’s  Funeral  Home was in charge of arrangements.
