Deacon Walter B. Dunn of Tampa, FL, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, April 16, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 E. Wilder Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, Reverend Joseph A. Skyes, Officiated.
Mr. Dunn, a native of Sandersville, Georgia, was born to the parentage of the late Clarence Dunn Jr. and Julia Maize Dunn on January 23, 1940. He was educated in Washington County Georgia public school system. He was baptized and spent his early years as a member of Camp Spring Baptist Church in Ridderville, Georgia. A resident of Tampa, Florida he retired after 30 years of dedicated service as a truck driver for Nottingham Company in Plant City, Florida. He united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church serving on the deacon board and singing in the male choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Ernestine Hamilton Dunn; son, Victor Dunn; sisters, Julia Dunn, Paris Anderson, Luvenia Dunn Jefferson, Essie Mae Dunn, Annie Ola Dunn, Jordan, Margaret L. Dunn, and Catherine Parker; brothers, Arthur Lee Dunn, Richard Swirt, and William Dunn.
Mr. Dunn leaves to cherish his memory with his children, Carla F. Dunn, Walter Dunn Jr. (Virginia), Francine Dunn, and Brenda Graham-Love (Anderson Love Jr.); grandchildren, Cartina Dunn, Horace T. Sapp Jr. (Lakeisha), Joshua A. Dunn, Walter Dun lll., Nicole Dunn, Anderson Love lll., Corey D. Graham, Sharma Graham, Kara Dunn, Dara Dunn, Henry Dunn, Donna Dunn, Tay Dunn, Joe Dunn, Josh Dunn, Greg Dunn, Styles Dunn, Christine Dunn, and Alzata Dunn; great grandchildren, Aliya Sapp, Asia Sapp, Amaya Harris, Corey D. Graham Jr., Hurston Graham, Za’Niya Young, and Jamarron King; siblings, Rosa Bethea of Waycross, GA, Lorine Bonner of Macon, GA, Willie James Dunn of Sanderville, GA, Clarence Dunn of Miami, FL (Mary), Charles L. Dunn of Macon, GA (Doris), and Tommy Dunn of Harrison, GA (Rose); sister-in-law, Mae Kingcade of Tampa, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sorrowing relatives, coworkers and dear friends including the Dunn and Paris families of Washington County, GA.
