Mr. Darryl L. (Bugaloo) Lewis , Milledgeville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Navicent Health, Macon,  GA . 

Graveside services were held on Saturday , February 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Westview Cemetery , Milledgeville GA,.

Public viewing was held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church 508 GA Hwy 49, Milledgeville, from 12 - 6 P.M.

Darryl Lamont “Bugaloo” Lewis was born on December 8, 1966, in Manhattan, New York to the parentage of the late Winnie McNatt Lewis and the late William “Pina” Lewis, Sr. 

He attended elementary and high school in Baldwin County. Darryl enjoyed fishing, building, painting, riding motorcycles, and hunting. He also loved family and enjoyed doing anything for them.

Darryl worked at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville for a number of years. He moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina for a number of years and later returned back to Milledgeville, GA.

He is also preceded in death by his grandfather ,Mr. Tommie L. Lewis.

Darryl is survived by his two daughters, Shaneria Lewis and Jasmine Lewis, both of Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, Shymecia Lewis, My’Kia Whipple, De’Angelo Reeves, Jr., Cortney Cummings, Jr., Impriss Torrance, and Harmoni Cummings; great-grandchild, Skylar Lewis; sister, Sharon Lewis of Milledgeville, GA; brother, William Lewis, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA; grandmother, Rosa M. Lewis, nieces, Daija Lewis and Kameron Lewis; nephew, Chaztin Lewis, all of Milledgeville, GA; devoted friend whom he considered as a brother, Willie Devereaux; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
