Daiquan Walker Obituary

Mr. Daiquan Walker, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Atrium Health Medical Center, Macon, GA.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2 P.M. at St. Galilee Baptist Church, 316 Augusta Alley, Sandersville, GA, with interment to follow in the Sandersville City Cemetery,  Hall Street, Sandersville, GA.

Mr. Daiquan Franchon Walker was born on November 16, 1991, in Augusta, Georgia, to Betty Ann Walker and Frank Simmons. At an early age, he joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Fellowship at Highland Park. 

He graduated from Washington County High School in 2010. On May, 18, 2012, he married the love his life, Felicia Hatcher. He worked for Gary Meeks.

Daiquan was preceded in death by his brother, Broderick Walker, his grandparents, Josephine J.S. Simmons and Frank Simmons, Sr., and Annie Laura Evans, his uncle, J.D. Duggans, and his mother-in-law, Sallie Hatcher.

Daiquan was well-known, outspoken, and loved by everyone he came in contact with. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted loving wife, Felicia Hatcher Walker; mother Betty A. Walker; father, Frank (Sara) Simmons; father-in-law, Frank Hatcher; grandmother-in-law, Dorothy R. Hatcher; brothers, David (LaTrina) Walker, Jr., Brandon (Alexis Lundy) McDonald; Stanley (Tomasa Hill) Wimberly; Tony Freeman; Nick Jenkins and Grady Taylor, Jr.; sisters, Crystal (Will) Steele, Jr., Calandra Simmons, Keisha Simmons, Yvonne Johnson, Hannah Dixon, LeAsia Little, Sonya Irwin, Cawana (Christopher) Williams, Rhonda (Jeremy)Tillman, and Cassandra Duggan; aunts, Mary (Wilbur) Dawson, Susan Herron, Ida R. Gindraw, Dorothy (Vonion) Heggs, Mae (Kevin) Jacobs, Barbara Hatcher, Marcella (Louis) Neal, Joanne Ellison, Betty Bryant, Dorothy (George) Tucker, Annie R. Jordan, Kathy (Freddie) Blocker, Joanne S. Haynes, Trina (Eddie) Latimer and Gwendolyn (Tony) Bryant ; great-aunt, Mrs. Georgia E. Fraley; uncles, Aaron (Georgia) Evans, Jimmy (Janice) Hatcher, Calvin (Gwinnie) Hatcher, Terry (Alfreda) Hatcher, Joe (Demetria) Hatcher, John (Mae Alice) Jackson, Bobby (Carolyn) Jordan, and Melvin (Anna) Jordan; devoted cousin, Marcus Evans;sisters-in-law, Tracey Hatcher, Karen (Ocenus) Burke, and Cherrell Walker; brother-in-law, Corey (Chasity) Hatcher; devoted niece, Courtney Brooks; devoted friends, Amir Cheely, Darryl Brookins, Jr., Alicia Miles, and Chris Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
