Clarence “Joe” Jordan

Mr. Clarence Jordan , affectionately known as “Joe”, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Augusta University Hospital, Augusta, GA. 

Graveside services were held on Friday , May 26, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Brownwood Cemetery. Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr., officiated. 

“Joe” was raised and educated in the public schools of Washington County.

He retired from Burgess Pigment Co.

He enjoyed the game of football and was a genuine and loyal person, and will be missed by many.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Betty Jean Jordan of Grovetown, GA; three children, Rodrick (Lydia) Jordan of St. Augustine, FL, Brittany (David) Hall of Grovetown, GA, and Gregory (Isabell) Jordan of Bossier City, LA; four sisters, Gloria Davis, Lena Turner, Delois Jordan, all of Jacksonville, FL, and Vienna Jordan of Atlanta, GA; three sisters-in-law, Maedith Jordan of Statesboro, GA, Bertha Lawrence of Sandersville, GA, and Elizabeth Kelsey of Warthen, GA; one brother-in-law, James Andrews of Sandersville, GA; three grandchildren, Briana Jordan, Kaitlyn Jordan, both of St. Augustine, FL, and Ryan Hall of Grovetown, GA; one Godson, Dennis (Karen) Harper of Tennille, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
