Mrs. Christine Taylor Curry, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center, extended care facility.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 @ 1 p.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, Davisboro, GA.Rev. Perry Davis officiated.. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Her life began on November 23, 1935, in Washington County, Georgia, to the late Mrs. Beulah Adkins Taylor and the late Mr. Velmon Taylor, Sr.
Christine accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Davisboro, Georgia.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Annie Ruth Swint and son-in-law, Ray Braswell.
Mrs. Curry leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Joann (Charles) Haynes and Sandra Braswell; brother, Henton (Eleva) Taylor of Riddleville, GA; two sisters, Jearlean Tarver of Bartow, GA, and Juanita Logan of Sandersville, GA; nine grandchildren, Tina (Mario) Rupter of Belleville, IL, Kenya Curry of Sterling, VA, Rodney (Natasha) Curry of Sandersville, GA, Eric Braswell of Davisboro, GA, Christopher Haynes of Virginia, Travis (Rea) Haynes of Jacksonville, FL, Antonio (Karrin) Hatcher of San Antonio, TX, Joycelyn (Charlie) Powell of Dublin, GA, Justin (Paige) Braswell of Augusta, Georgia; fourteen great-grandchildren, Tyler Rupter. Charlie Powell, Jr., Christopher Haynes, Xavier Haynes, Sanaya Haynes, Kenderious (Deondra) Curry, Ken’Shayla Curry, Kameron Hatcher, Antonio Hatcher, Andrew Hatcher, Kaleb Hatcher, Karter Hatcher, Jalen Haynes, and Stephon Haynes; three great-great-grandchildren, Kamiya Curry, Kelsi Curry, and Kayci Curry; two sisters-in-laws, Bobby Gene Taylor and Louise Taylor, both of Riddleville, GA; son-in-law, Ricky Swint; devoted Goddaughter, Grace Jordan;; six devoted friends, Tracy Jordan, Susie Bell, Almarita Braswell, Fannie Smith, Veronica (Frank) Hancock, and Freddie (Rebecca) Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
