In life, a person must travel many paths. These paths are designed to teach many valuable lessons and to prepare us for our final resting place. Charles has come to the end of his journey, never to tread through this life here on earth again, and the only thing that he took on this journey was the love he had in his heart for each of his family members and friends.
Charles Lawrence, departed this life on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church , Warthen , GA . Rev. Tracy Wheeler Sr., officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Charles was born in Warthen, Georgia, to the loving parentage of the late Famon and Willie Mae Lawrence. He attended Washington County Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Washington County High School, Class of 1991.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his beloved son, Charzell Poole. He is also survived by his siblings, Marion Neal, Larry (Natasha) Lawrence, Tricia Lawrence, Melton (Lillie) Lawrence, Milton (Bernice) Lawrence, Terry Lawrence and Delois (Jimmy) Ivey, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Wheeler’s Funeral Home was entrusted with final arrangements.
