Charles Edward Brown, age 64 of Tennille, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in a tragic house fire at his residence.
Born and raised in Washington County, he was the son of Mrs. Hattie (Francis) Brown and the late Mr. Charles Brown. He attended the T.J. Elder School.
For over 25 years, Charles worked as a public service employee for the city of Tennille where he was recently recognized for his many years of dedicated service.
One of his greatest joys was watching football, of which his favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his loving mother, he is survived by his four children, Cedric Brown, Cadrick Brown, Dontavious Brown, D’Anthony Brown of Sandersville; two grandchildren, Cedrick Brown, Jr., Aaniyah Brown; his sisters, Dorothy Scott of Sandersville; Annie (Bobby) Taylor of Harrison; Patricia Brown, Charlene Brown and Brenda Davenport, all of Sandersville; two aunts, Annie Thornton of Conyers, GA; Doretha Bell, of Tennille; as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends including Ms. Dorothy Wright and Mr. Stacy Peacock.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Mr. Willie London.
He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
