Bobby (Joe Snake) Marion

Mr. Bobby Marion, affectionately known as “Joe Snake” Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Washington County Regional Medical Center, Sandersville,GA. 

Funeral services were held on Sunday , September 5, 2021 @ 4 p.m. in the chapel of Wheeler’s Funeral Home .Rev. Tracy Wheeler  Sr. officiated.

Born in Sandersville, he was the son of the late Rosa Mae Smith and Carlos Marion. 

 A lifelong Sandersville resident, he attended Washington County High School. 

Bobby enjoyed shooting pool , grilling , football where his favorite team was the Washington Redskins and spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his children; Naomi Marion, Bobby Marion, Oscar Solomon, Carol Walker and Robert Jones; several grandchildren; sister, Denise Marion; brother,  Gerald Marion; uncles, Melvin Smith and Grady Smith; devoted cousins, Gary ( Donnisha ) Barnes, Jarvis (Angie) Hooks and Ernest Harper; devoted godson,Juaquine  Hines; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
