Betty Jean Rowling

On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, the Heavenly Father sent His angelic host for Mrs. Betty Jean Rowling and she entered into eternal rest at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA.  

Funeral services for Mrs. Rowling will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019  @ 1 p.m. from the New Pine Hill Community Church, Davisboro, GA with Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the Neeler  A. M.E.  Church cemetery in Davisboro, GA. 

Mrs. Betty Jean Rowling was born January 4, 1940 to the parentage of the late Mr. Robert and Oudia Warthen.

On August 12, 1961, Betty Jean was joined in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Williard Rowling, Sr.  

“Jean” as she was affectionately called, was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tavarus Sequel Fragher, a sister, Pecola Duhart, and a brother, Josephus Warthen, Sr.

Her life and legacy will be cherished forever by her four sons, Jimmy (Virginia) Warthen of Killien, TX, Bennie Brinson, Darryl (Lashika) Rowling, Williard (Danielle) Rowling, Jr., all of Davisboro, GA; thirteen grandchildren,twelve great-grandchildren,one sister, Burena Robinson of Sandersville, GA; two aunts, Durcilla Johnson of Sandersville, GA and Annie Vera Powell of Queens, NY; three sister-in-laws, Alma Jean Warthen of Sandersville, GA, Mary Rolling of Davisboro, GA, and Mary Alice Hodges of Miami, FL;and several devoted nieces;nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including , a devoted friend, Bernard Carlyle.
