Bertha Harris

Ms. Bertha Harris, Sandersville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Memorial Health , Savannah, GA. 

Graveside services were held on Saturday, February 19,2022 @ 11 a.m. @ Jordan Grove Baptist Church , Davisboro GA  with Pastor Ron Jackson officiated.

Bertha Harris was born on February 27, 1955, in Sandersville, GA, to the late B.F. (Pete) Harris, Sr. and Mrs. Lizzie Lee Paul Hill Harris.

Bertha joined Jordan Grove Baptist Church at a young age. She graduated from Washington County High School. During the summer months, she visited Trenton, New Jersey, where she enjoyed spending time with family. She later moved to Ohio where she lived for many years prior to returning home to Georgia.

Bertha is survived by her sons, Steven Deon Harris and Devonta Rashon Harris; Goddaughter, Darlene Davis; grandchildren, Jitorria Harris and Jordan Harris of Hampton, GA; daughter-in-law, Rene Harris of Hampton, GA; devoted brothers, B.F. (Jacqueline) Harris, Jr. of Sandersville, GA, William Bell, Burick Harris and Belamy Harris, all of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Barbara (Alfred) Reeves of Sandersville, GA, Minister Vanessa (Ferrell) Strange of Sandersville, GA, Bernice Clifton of Decatur, GA, Monica Bell of Decatur, GA, LaFronia Harris of Savannah, GA, Janice D. Williams of Decatur, GA, Menagerial Harris of Decatur, GA; aunts, Pearl Blackshear of Sandersville, GA, and Jean Ollie Brown of West Palm Beach, FL; close cousins, Mary Irwin and Mattie Brown; close friends, Larry Swint and Angela Merrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

 Wheeler’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
