Bennie Jones

Wherever we go, from our birth throughout our life and into the passage of death, the Lord is always and ever with us. When the time comes to bid this life farewell, we should find comfort in knowing that a loving God will be there with us to guide us to our new home.

As we gather in the spirit of celebration, to honor the life of a well-loved member of the Jones family; our hearts are heavy, but we must accept God’s will and honor him for Bennie Jones’s sixty-five beautiful years, that our loved one remained on earth. The Lord can and will heal the poor in spirit and the brokenhearted.

God, in His glorious power and infinite wisdom, dispatched His heavenly angels to the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville, GA on the afternoon of October 20, 2023  to summon Bennie Jones to come home. 

Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Warthen ,GA .Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiated. 

He leaves to cherish his many memories: his devoted companion, Geraldine Lundy, Warthen, GA; six sisters:, Bertha (Nazereth ) Burton, Milledgeville, GA, Lino Mitts, Waynesboro, GA; Margaret Jones, Hephzibah, GA; Minnie Tucker, Rudene Horton both of Warthen, GA; Lula (Sanford) Burton, Sparta, GA; two brothers: Aaron (Martha) Jones Jr., John K Cummings, both of Warthen, GA; two sisters-in-law: Bertha Jones, Sandersville, GA; Bessie Jones, Augusta, GA; one aunt: Lucille Weems, Sparta, GA; two uncles: Andrew Gay, Hawthorne, FL; Lonze Palmer, Sparta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Wheeler’s Funeral Home was  entrusted with final arrangements.
