Barbara Burten Obituary

I am confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from this body, and to be present with the Lord.” - II Corinthians 5:8

It is with a shout of joy and a grateful heart that I say “see you in the morning” to all those I leave behind! For I knew that if this old earthly body gave out, that I had a building from God, eternal in the heavens, not made by man’s hands. I have overcome the world because my faith did not stand in the wisdom of man, but in the power of God. I thank God for my elevation because my purpose on this side of the world has been fulfilled. I pray that you will find comfort and peace in the still small voice of God saying, “I’m with you even until the end of the world.” May, the God of all comfort and sustain you, my loves, during the days ahead and until we meet again.
