Alex James

“Some glad morning when this life is over I’ll fly away.”

Mr. Alex James , Tennille, GA , gained his wings and flew away on  the morning of October 25, 2020 at his residence. 

Funeral services were held on Saturday , October 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. on the lawn of the family residence at 1295 Joiner Rd. Tennille, GA .Rev. Henry L. Tanner officiated.

Burial followed in the Union Hill Church Cemetery,  Tennille, GA.

Alex James departed his life on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at his residence in Tennille, Georgia. 

Mr. Alex James was born on October 22, 1932 in Washington County, Gerogia.  He was the son of the late Mrs. Annie Lou James and the late Mr. Jessie James, Sr. 

He was employed at the Cotton Mill and retired after 25 years of dedicated work. He went on to work with the county for 10 years. 

Mr. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife VeolaJames, two sisters, Hattie Bell James and Rosie London, six brothers, Jessie James, Jr., Bobby James, Horace James, George James, Sr., Albert James, and Morace James. 

Mr. James leaves behind a beloved daughter, Patricia Ann Middlebrooks; granddaughter, Eureka Middlebrooks; great-grandson, Cameron Mack; sister, Jessie Mae Lucas; sister-in-laws, Catherine James, Geraldine James, and Erie James; god-daughter, Lena Harris and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
