Joe Louis Haynes

Joe Louis Haynes left this life to return to the open arms of his creator on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at the V.A. Medical Center in Atlanta, GA.

Funeral services for Mr. Haynes were held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. from the Minton Spring A.M.E. Church, Warthen, GA . Rev. Delmus Mosley, officiated.  Interment followed in Sherwood Cemetery, Jonesboro,GA.

Joe was born on March 23, 1944 to the parentage of Mary Haynes and the late Oscar Haynes of Sandersville. He attended the public schools of Washington County and afterwards enlisted in the U.S Army and was honorably discharged.

In 1978, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Gloria (Johns)Haynes of whom they shared 41 beautiful years of marriage.

In addition to his father, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Julian Johnson.

Along with his devoted wife Mrs. Gloria Haynes of Riverdale,GA, he is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Mary Haynes, Sandersville, GA; loving children, Curtis Duggan, Bronx, NY, and Danielle Haynes, Jonesboro, GA; stepchildren, Tony Johns, Fulton, CA, Rodney Johns, Jonesboro, GA, and Rhonda Gentry, Irvine, CA; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many other cousins, relatives and friends.
