Mr. Bennie Haynes, age 66, and native of Washington County, died on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at his residence, after a long illness.
Bennie was born March 30, 1953 to the parentage of the late Ms. Lula Mae Haynes and at an early age he joined the Neeler A.M.E. Church. Along with his mother, he is predeceased by a sister; Mrs. Cora Lee Page, and brothers; Mr. Joseph Haynes, Mr. Charlie Lee Haynes, and Mr. Eric Haynes Sr.
After 29 dedicated years of employment, Bennie retired from the Washington County Department of Transportation. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Gregory Haynes Sr., Tennille, Georgia, Kendrick (Tomzie) Haynes Sr., Mobile, Alabama; Jeffrey (Yashami) Haynes, Loganville, Georgia; Minyatta Bell, Hampton, Georgia; four sisters: Mrs. Barbara Hayles, Lithonia, Georgia; Mrs. Linda Jean (George) Hollis, Dublin, Georgia; Mrs. Rochelle Fort, and Ms. Patricia Haynes, Davisboro, Georgia; five brothers: Mr. Jerome (Pamela) Haynes, Mr. Frank Haynes, Atlanta, Georgia; Mr. J.T. Haynes, Mr. Anthony Haynes, Lithonia, Georgia; Mr. Mark (Jannie) Haynes, Davisboro, Georgia; nine grandchildren: Keairan Carlyle, India Johnson, Gregory Haynes Jr., Shantavia Haynes, Kendrick Haynes Jr., Kingston Haynes, McKenzie Haynes, Kalil Haynes, and Aceson Francis; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
